With new brands emerging on social media daily, finding a pair of good quality, fashionable sunglasses that aren't 'designer' has become a bloody MISSION! Quality is something people don't appreciate as much, as fashion is slowly but surely, transitioning into a concept even more ephemeral than it already was. A trend can come one day, and be gone the next - wiped away by the latest Instagram post...

These were definitely a more 'risqué' purchase for me, as I had no idea if they were a heat of the moment acquisition or if I did actually love them enough to wear on a daily basis. Inspired by old school glacier sunglasses, my KIKIES sunnies have now become my latest everyday LA accessory! 

Their creators share a fun little story about forgetting their sunglasses on their very first ski trip, having to buy new pairs to enjoy the slopes. One shop remained open in this small ski resort, selling the most vintage-looking sunglasses, which later inspired their come back! Reminiscent of our childhood (fluorescent colors were a must on the slopes), our favorite glacier sunnies undergo an 'upgrade:' the leather used is hand cut and assembled by companies from the watchmaking industry!
